The Drake Center is expanding! Coming Boca Park Animal Hospital in early 2022, The Drake Center will be opening an additional location to the south of the current Drake Center building in Encinitas off of El Camino Real.

Called The Drake Center Annex, the new additional Boca Park Animal Hospital space will allow for more exam rooms and more parking to better serve our clients and patients. We can't wait to utilize this brand new location to continue our mission to provide the best veterinary care for our patients and exceptional customer service for our clients for many years to come.

Update to Boarding and Bathing at The Drake Center

Recently, there has been a rise in the number of cases of Canine Influenza throughout Southern California. Canine Influenza (also known as “dog flu”) is a contagious respiratory disease in dogs. Like the flu in humans, the canine form is spread via respiratory droplets. Infected dogs can pass this illness to others through barking, coughing, and breathing/panting. It can also be passed by contaminated objects (kennel surfaces, food and water bowls, collars and leashes), and by people moving between infected and uninfected dogs. Dogs in shelters, boarding/grooming facilities are most at risk. However, dogs that visit dog parks, dog beaches, and other public places where there is proximity to other dogs are also highly at risk.
